The Apple Store is back online
Posted Feb 9th 2010 8:24AM by Mike Schramm

Yes, as expected, the Apple Store is down for the morning, presumably to update us with brand new MacBook Pros and whatever else Apple has cooked up for a release.
We'll keep an eye on the website along with you readers, and when we see what's been updated, we'll let you know. Do be patient -- as many of us are traveling to Macworld today, we might actually be on the roads and/or in the air when it happens, but we'll update as soon as we can. Stay tuned.
Update: It's back up, and it appears the new hotness is... Aperture 3.
Thanks to all who sent this in!

I wonder what they say in Telesales this hour. I can't find out because I live in Greece. Does anyone actually know?

You don't have to wait for delayed gratification. ;D

@si
Don't even open it.
You are afforded an opportunity to exchange it for "today's model".
Call Apple NOW, before it even arrives at your door. OR refuse the shipment when it comes to your door.
It will all be worth it for the latest and greatest.

You and me both, brother. I'm typing on mine that I picked up on Friday.
Oh well, unless they pop discrete graphics into the entry level model, or do something especially crazy, I'll be just fine with mine.

Apple will let you upgrade under their 14-day return policy (which also covers new product launches). Call Apple once the new ones are on the store and you'll be good to go.

Cheers for the comments guys, didn't realise I had those kinds of options
I'll see what the upgrades are like and then possibly ring them up.
I'm coming from an '07 bottom of the line white macbook so this is going to be a huge step up anyway.
I'll see how it pans out
Thanks again
Simon

That doesn't apply to those of us that took advantage of Best Buy's 18 month no interest vs. the 12 available to me at the Apple Store, does it?
iGO said 9:58AM on 2-09-2010
Store is UP.
I see NOTHING NEW
MRCUR said 12:37PM on 2-09-2010
@Dorv - No idea about that, sorry. Best Buy might let you swap it, but I doubt it.
(Of course this is a mute point now that Apple has decided to not release updated MBPs...)

I predict early drop of iPad wifi, Verizon iPhone, new Mac Minis, and a release of iPhone OS 4.0. Of course, my crystal ball is out of order and I am new at reading coffee grains.

They changed the front page style again to show the other new items, instead of just the iPad (which I personally found rather obnoxious).
